Provincial Government Announces Provincial Advisory Council on the Status of Women New President/CEO

The Honourable Carol Anne Haley, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, today announced the appointment of Paula Sheppard as President/CEO of the Provincial Advisory Council on the Status of Women. Ms. Sheppard’s appointment, effective January 2, 2019, is for a three-year term.

The Provincial Advisory Council on the Status of Women was established in 1980 and provides advice to the government on issues affecting women in the province.

The appointment was made through the merit-based Independent Appointments Commission. Members of the public interested in opportunities to serve on provincial agencies, boards and commissions are encouraged to complete an application at www.iacnl.ca.
