Our legislation is changing!
In keeping with the changes made in 2021 which resulted in the creation of the Office of Women and Gender Equality, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking feedback from the public as it moves to replace the Status of Women Advisory Council Act with updated legislation for PACSW that is inclusive of gender-diverse people.
Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador are encouraged to participate in an online questionaire or provide written submissions about what they would like to see in a new act by visiting engageNL. Deadline for questionnaires and written submissions is February 23, 2024.
